PlaNet Finance and its partners is setting a venture capital company called « FinanCités » in order to provide growth and complementary fund for microentrepreneurs in France. The company is dedicated to investment in microentreprises of Sensitive Urban Neighborhoods.

 

STRUCTURE


FinanCités is a venture capital company set up as a simplified corporation. (SAS)


THE OBJECTIves


FinanCités will enable to complement the micro finance offer system that already exists. It will focus on projects carried out by microentrepreneurs living in Sensitive Urban Neighborhoods. FinanCités will offer participative loans and provide equity funding in order to increase the capital of:

  • Micro enterprises of sensitive neighborhoods supported by an ADAM or other associations during the project design.
  • Microenterprises which did not benefit from mentoring support but that are promising business wise.
  • Micro enterprises that are already settled in these sensitive neighborhoods and in need of increase in equity.

Micro enterprises which will receive capital investment will be monitored by a “mentor” committee once the investment is made.
